The most bioactive moment in human biology. Preserved.

Precision preservation of nature's most complex biological material.

Everything your placenta makes possible. Preserved and returned to you.

Mothers have been encapsulating their placentas for years — and for good reason. The science now lets us go further: separate each biological fraction and preserve it for the route your body can actually use. Proteins in one capsule. Growth factors in another, protected through the stomach. Your own amniotic serum and face cream. Everything arrives about two weeks after your birth.

The Problem

Here's what's being thrown away at every birth.

The placenta is the most molecularly complex biological material the human body produces. It contains mesenchymal stem cells, the highest hormone concentrations of a woman's lifetime, growth factors in concentrations unique to placental tissue, and living cells that will never be reproducible from any other source. Thousands of mothers already encapsulate their placentas every year — and report real benefits. But whole-tissue processing treats every fraction the same, even though each one needs something different.

1

Proteins Need Acid

Collagen, fibronectin, and elastin need stomach acid to break down into usable peptides. That same acid destroys the growth factors sitting right next to them in a whole-ground capsule. One needs the environment that kills the other.

2

Growth Factors Need Protection

EGF, VEGF, and other signaling molecules need enteric protection to survive transit through the stomach. But enteric coating blocks the very acid your proteins need. You can protect one or digest the other. Not both.

3

Living Cells Need Cold

Freeze-drying preserves molecular content beautifully — but it can't keep living cells alive. The maternal stem cells in your placental tissue, available only from this one birth, need cryopreservation — a step that traditional processing wasn't built to include.

Mothers have been doing this for a reason — it works. The science now lets us understand why, and optimize each fraction instead of processing them all as one.

The Moonbox Approach

What arrives two weeks after your birth.

The Birth Box is a complete postpartum wellness set made from your own placenta. Each fraction is separated and preserved for the delivery route your body can actually use — oral, topical, or banked for the future. This is what you receive.

01 Foundation Capsules Structural proteins, minerals, and iron — standard capsule for postpartum nutrition
02 Signal Capsules Growth factors and exosomes — enteric-coated, protected through the stomach
03 Amniotic Serum Single-use ampoules — freeze-dried, reconstitute at home for skin treatments
04 Placenta Face Cream Daily moisturizer with your own growth factor peptides and exosomes
05 Certificate of Analysis Pathogen testing and molecular characterization — included with every box
Stem cell banking is available as an add-on. Your own stem cells, from your own placental tissue, cryopreserved at −196°C. This is a one-time collection window — once the placenta is discarded, these cells are gone. We think that's worth preserving.

What We're Building

The Birth Box.

What's Inside

True lyophilization — not heat dehydration. Each fraction gets the capsule type, coating, or formulation it actually needs. You receive a complete labeled set with a Certificate of Analysis, approximately two weeks after your birth.

  • Foundation Capsules — structural proteins, minerals, iron
  • Signal Capsules — growth factors and exosomes, enteric-coated
  • Amniotic Serum — single-use ampoules for skin
  • Placenta Face Cream — daily moisturizer
  • Certificate of Analysis — pathogen testing included

Stem Cell Banking

Your own stem cells, from your own placental tissue, cryopreserved at −196°C. This is a one-time collection window — available as an add-on to your Birth Box. Once the placenta is discarded, these cells are gone.

  • Your own cells, from your own tissue
  • Cryopreserved at −196°C in liquid nitrogen
  • Available as an add-on to the Birth Box
  • A preservation option that traditional processing can't provide

Roadmap

NOW Birth Box waitlist open. Reserving processing slots for 2026 births.
2026 First Birth Boxes delivered. Capsules, serum, face cream — from your own placenta.
2027 Expanded platform. Additional products, partnerships, and processing capabilities.
The Birth Box is expected to range $1,500–2,500 depending on selected add-ons. Waitlist members receive founding member pricing.

Why Now

The window is opening.

Perinatal tissue is attracting serious research and venture attention for the first time since cord blood banking went mainstream. Multiple companies are entering this space in 2025–2026.
Research on mesenchymal stem cells from birth tissue has accelerated dramatically since 2020, with GMP manufacturing benchmarks and large-scale clinical data now published.
Postpartum maternal health is finally receiving institutional attention—from employers, insurers, and investors. The care gap is recognized, not just felt.
Lyophilization and exosome science have matured enough to make fractional processing commercially viable—not just scientifically interesting.

Waitlist

Reserve your spot.

We're reserving Birth Box slots for 2026 births, with a limited waitlist for 2027. We're also building a network of doulas, midwives, and birth workers who want to offer their clients something beyond traditional encapsulation. If that's you — in either role — we'd love to hear from you.

Moonbox is pre-launch. We are completing regulatory review with specialized life-sciences counsel, building tissue processing partnerships, and assembling this waitlist before investor conversations. We've studied the landscape — cord blood banking, perinatal tissue processing, the regulatory environment. We know what's been tried and where the gaps are.
